"The Dixieland Messengers Praha" was established in year 1998 by trombonist Václav Fiala, who hoped to continue in a New Orleans way of jazz and blues from 20s and 40s, but with a touch of Afroamerican folklore and with a classical instrumentation, which means the trumpet, clarinet, trombone, piano, bass, banjo and drumms. The most experienced jazz players meet with two younger generations at "The Dixieland Messengers Praha." The band is therefore experienced, yet full of energy and enthusiasm, which makes them a very popular choice in the Czech Republic, but also in the whole world.
