Bass playe rand composer Steve Clarke is a versatile musician – his play skillfully combines the modern jazz, blues, soul and RnB and he is very well known as a brilliant player.
Steve comes from a very musical family – his father, talented trumpeter, has been teaching his sons to love music and young Steve has played with many great artists of those times – The Drifters, The Coasters, Mary Wells, Ben E. King or Sam & Dave. After his graduation, he joint the Celula New York, a band of famous Laco Déczi, and together they have travelle all across the Europe. He became quite successfull in Germany and Austria, but also in the Czech Republic.
The Prague-based international sextet "Bohemia After Dark" is dedicated to authentic arrangements of classics and neglected gems from the golden age of bebop in the 1940s through to the hard bop of the 1950s. Among the jazz giants featured in this concert dedicated to 1940s bebop are Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie, Fats Navarro, Tadd Dameron, Thelonious Monk, Oscar Pettiford, Kenny Clarke and also the singers Sarah Vaughan, Ella Fitzgerald, Annie Ross and Carmen McRae..

They often collaborate with wonderful young singer Barbora Vágnerová, and sometimes with special guests, including Denis Gordon in 2012 and 2013, Mike Fulton or Evan Christopher.
