Charismatic Cuban-Polish vocalist Yvonne Sanchez is one of the most
internationally recognized jazz musicians on the Czech jazz scene.
Starting out as a percussionist and bassist, Yvonne switched over to
jazz vocals when she moved to Prague and performed her first concert
there, coincidentally at Reduta Jazz Club. Since then she's released her
award-winning debut album "Invitation" with the Robert Balzar trio. Her
second CD "My Garden" was released by the famous label Warner Music and
soon after sold a million copies in Poland, becoming a Golden Record.
This colorful album consists purely of original songs influenced by
Brazilian and African music, groove, soul, pop and of course jazz. Her
third and newest album "Songs About Love" is a live recording of a duo
concert with Brazilian guitarist Pedro Tagliani and contains songs from
Brazil, along with originals and arrangements of jazz standards in the
same style. The passionate singer with her signature velvet voice will
be accompanied by the trio of young internationally acclaimed pianist
Daniel Bulatkin. The concert promises an exciting blend of latin-jazz
and groove music with top-notch vocals and a burning band to back them
up.
